The Las Vegas Sands’ Las Vegas Resort is set to open in 2019, with the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in a few years to follow, according to a new report.
The company, the world’s largest casino operator, says it expects the Las Vegas resort to open on or around March 31, 2019.
That would be just over two months before the end of the calendar year, the report said.
The resort is set for more than $2 billion in annual revenue, including about $600 million from the $1.9 billion Las Vegas casino.
Its revenue is expected to increase by roughly 40% this year, as the resort expands its gaming rooms and casino slots.
The Vegas Sands says the resort will have 3,500 hotel rooms and suites, with another 2,500 slots for a total of 8,600 slot machines.
It will have 1,000 gaming tables and more than 700 gaming chairs.
It is building a 3,700-room hotel with a full casino.
The resort is also developing a 1,300-room resort.
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Bureau says the hotel will open in about two years, as will the casino.
The casino’s opening is expected by the end, with MGM Grand, the MGM nameplate, to open later this year.
MGM Grand has about 4,400 slots, and the Las-Vegas Sands expects to open a new slot machine-and-gaming-room complex in 2021.
